About the Chapter
The PTPI Rabat Chapter has long been an important part of People to People International’s African network. Known for their deep commitment to community and family — values deeply rooted in Moroccan culture — the chapter has led numerous humanitarian initiatives over the years. These have included collecting staple food items and household goods from generous local friends, families, and businesses to distribute to people most in need across the region.
As with many chapters, activity slowed during the global pandemic, but hope springs anew. A dedicated group of young people in Rabat are working hard to rekindle the vibrant PTPI spirit — and continue the work of building peace, understanding, and human dignity through meaningful local action.
This chapter, under the guidance of Aisha Zdeg, also plays a key role in the financial coordination of PTPI’s African Region.
About Rabat
Rabat is the capital city of Morocco and the country’s political and administrative heart. With over 1.2 million people in the wider metro area, it’s a vibrant coastal city sitting at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River, directly across from its sister city Salé.

Humanitarian at Heart
PTPI Rabat continues to focus on grassroots impact. The chapter’s longstanding tradition of food drives and community support reflects the Moroccan value of “tadamun” — solidarity. The youth members now stepping forward to lead offer great promise for the future, as they bring fresh ideas and energy into this storied chapter.
