Welcome
A warm welcome to our community and our website
Welcome to People to People International’s Global Coordination Centre (GCC)
Our Home in Brussels
Since 1970, PTPI has maintained a strong presence in Brussels, often referred to as the “Capital of Europe.”
In 2023, People to People International formally established its Global Coordination Centre (GCC) in Brussels, marking an important step in the organisation’s next phase of development and global rebuilding.
Brussels reflects much of what PTPI stands for:
- international cooperation
- cultural diversity
- dialogue across borders
- and the practical realities of living together in a pluralistic world
As a global crossroads for institutions, communities, and international networks, the city provides a natural base for coordinating PTPI’s worldwide chapter network and strengthening connections between people, cultures, and partners.
Today, the GCC supports:
- global chapter coordination
- strategic partnerships
- youth mobility development
- communications and network visibility
- and the long-term rebuilding of PTPI as a modern, globally connected organisation
Our presence in Brussels is not simply administrative.
It reflects PTPI’s continuing belief that peace, understanding, and cooperation are built through human connection, shared experience, and sustained international engagement.
Our Approach
PTPI is a global, volunteer-led network built around people-to-people connection, local initiative, and international cooperation.
Our chapters operate autonomously within their communities, while remaining connected through the Global Coordination Centre (GCC) in Brussels and the wider PTPI network.
We believe meaningful impact happens when:
- local relationships are strong
- global connections are active
- and people are empowered to lead within their own communities
Our approach combines:
- community-driven engagement
- practical collaboration
- partnership-based delivery
- and modern coordination tools that help people work together across borders
As PTPI continues its rebuild, we remain focused on:
- sustainable growth
- responsible partnerships
- youth engagement
- cultural exchange
- and creating practical opportunities for connection, learning, and leadership
We aim to stay globally connected while remaining locally relevant.
