About the Chapter

Founded in 1989, PTPI Roman is a vibrant and long-standing chapter known for its creative energy, community impact, and commitment to youth development. Although structured as a community chapter, over 100 of its active members are high school students aged 15–19, making it a dynamic example of youth leadership in action.

The chapter hosts cultural, social, and humanitarian activities that empower young people to grow as responsible, engaged citizens. From fundraising talent shows and water fights in local parks to handcrafted Christmas markets that fund improvements for pediatric wards and adult care centers, the Roman chapter consistently finds innovative ways to connect, uplift, and inspire.

Notably, Roman has hosted the PTPI European Conference twice—once in 2003 and again in 2016—welcoming participants from across the globe to experience Romanian hospitality and share in PTPI’s mission of peace through understanding.
