🌍 Strong Locally. Stronger Together.

People to People International has always been built on the strength of its chapters.

Across the world, chapters are leading, creating, and connecting in meaningful ways within their local communities. That local strength is real. It matters.

Now, as we continue rebuilding and strengthening our global network, there is a clear next step:

We must become as strong for each other as we are within our own chapters.

🔄 A Simple Expectation

At the Global Coordination Centre, we are not asking for more activity.

We are asking for clear, consistent connection.

When the GCC reaches out:

  • A response matters
  • Even a short reply helps
  • “We don’t have this” is still valuable

This allows us to:

  • understand what exists across the network
  • support where needed
  • build a more complete and accurate picture of PTPI today

🤝 A Network That Supports Itself

We are now operating as a true chapter network.

That means:

  • sharing ideas
  • recognising each other’s work
  • supporting where we can

In many cases, small contributions can unlock meaningful impact in another chapter.

Not every chapter is in the same position.
Some have more resources. Others have more constraints.

Both are part of the same PTPI story.

🧭 A Shared Responsibility

As a volunteer organisation, we respect the realities each chapter faces locally.

At the same time, being part of PTPI carries a simple responsibility:

To stay connected to the wider network

This is not about adding workload.
It is about being visible, responsive, and open to collaboration.

📣 Making Our Network Visible

We are already sharing more through:

  • newsletters
  • WhatsApp groups
  • social media channels

This will continue to grow.

Over time, we will also engage more with external media and partners who are showing interest in our work.

When we do, one thing will matter most:

That we can show PTPI as a connected, active, and supportive global network

🔍 Why This Matters Now

Our ability to:

  • support each other
  • attract partners
  • build sustainable programmes

…depends on how we show up as a network.

Not just individually.
But collectively.

🔥 Moving Forward

This is a simple shift:

  • from local strength only
  • to shared strength across chapters

We are already doing many things well.

Now we build on that, together.

If you receive a request from the GCC, please respond.

Even briefly.

It helps more than you might think.
