At this time, PTPI Cherkasy continues to face extreme challenges due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. While chapter activities are paused or disrupted, we want to acknowledge the strength, resilience, and courage of our Ukrainian members, particularly those in Cherkasy, who remain committed to the values of peace, connection, and understanding, even in the most difficult circumstances.

As a global community, we offer our support, solidarity, and heartfelt hugs to all those affected. The PTPI network remains here — quietly, but firmly — ready to assist where possible and to share updates as they become available. We will continue to keep everyone informed, while also respecting the safety and privacy of our members in Ukraine.

We hold close the hope that peace will soon return, and that once again, we can gather, share, and grow together as one united People to People family.

About Cherkasy 🇺🇦

Cherkasy is a historic city located along the Dnipro River in central Ukraine. It is the capital of Cherkasy Oblast and home to nearly 280,000 people. Though deeply impacted by recent events, Cherkasy has long been known for its cultural vibrancy, rich heritage, and warm community.

Originally established in the 13th century, Cherkasy has stood the test of time through wars and rebuilding. It is recognized for its industrial strength, educational institutions, and cultural landmarks such as Saint Michael’s Cathedral, the Shevchenko Park, and the Kremenchuk Reservoir — the largest artificial lake in Ukraine.
