Located on the southern coast of West Africa, Côte d’Ivoire—also known as Ivory Coast—is a vibrant and culturally rich country known for its diversity, resilience, and economic energy. While Yamoussoukro is the official capital, the heart of activity lies in the coastal city of Abidjan, one of the most populous and cosmopolitan cities in Africa. About the Chapter

The PTPI Côte d’Ivoire Chapter is based in Abidjan and is part of PTPI’s African regional network. While still developing its programs and formal structures, the chapter is committed to advancing peace through understanding by connecting communities across borders and fostering local engagement through education, cultural dialogue, and youth leadership.

At its core, the chapter embraces the country’s tradition of “vivre ensemble” (living together)—a principle rooted in tolerance, interfaith respect, and social cohesion. The chapter aims to expand its efforts through regional collaboration, capacity-building, and cultural outreach.
