About PTPI Japan

PTPI Japan has a proud and longstanding commitment to citizen diplomacy. Under the leadership of Ruriko Nakajima, a respected international contributor and former board member of PTPI’s World Headquarters, the chapter continues to be a cultural bridge within the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Like many PTPI chapters around the world, Japan is currently reconsolidating after the disruption of the global pandemic. With renewed energy, the chapter is reestablishing its network of members and reconnecting with regional and international partners.

PTPI Japan has been a valued partner in PTPI’s global network. Members from Denmark have made several visits to Japan over the years, highlighting it as one of their most cherished destinations for cross-cultural exchange. These experiences reflect the PTPI spirit of friendship, empathy, and meaningful connection.
