Founded in 1965, the La Porte Chapter has been a proud and enduring part of the PTPI family for nearly six decades. The chapter has consistently promoted peace through understanding by organizing community programs, educational dinners, cultural exchanges, and service projects. While its size has fluctuated over time, its commitment remains strong and unwavering.

Over the years, the chapter has fostered international friendships through its former sister chapter in Grangemouth, Scotland — a relationship filled with mutual visits and meaningful cultural exchange. Today, La Porte is once again reaching out to reconnect with new global chapters to reignite that spirit of collaboration.

🌍 Chapter Focus:

  • Rebuilding post-COVID community engagement

  • Cultural programs and shared meals

  • International partnerships and potential sister chapters

  • Interest in homestays and cross-cultural exchanges
