People to People International is pleased to highlight recent activity from PTPI Tallinn / Eesti People to People International, whose team participated in the final meeting of the European CERV project “Voices of Change”.
The meeting took place on 31 March 2026 in Rome, Italy, hosted by RomaTre University at the Europa Experience – David Sassoli Room, bringing together project partners, young participants, and institutional representatives from across Europe.
From Local Engagement to European Dialogue
The “Voices of Change” project focuses on:
- civic engagement
- social inclusion
- youth participation
- gender equality
During the final session, participants presented key outcomes and activities developed throughout the project, alongside reflections on the real impact on young people involved.
Importantly, the discussion did not stop at reporting. It moved into forward-looking territory, with:
- recommendations from the European Consultative Body
- discussions on future collaboration
- practical ways to strengthen civic participation across Europe
Connecting Youth and Institutions
A notable element of the meeting was the direct dialogue between young participants and institutional representatives.
Among those involved was Benedetta Scuderi, Member of the European Parliament and part of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM).
This kind of exchange reflects a critical principle:
young voices are not only participating, but contributing to conversations that shape policy and direction.
What This Signals
This is a strong example of how PTPI chapters are operating within wider European frameworks.
It demonstrates:
- alignment with EU-level programmes such as CERV
- meaningful youth engagement in structured civic spaces
- the ability to contribute to policy-relevant discussions
- continued presence in conversations around inclusion and equality
These are not small signals. They matter.
A Network Moving Forward
Across PTPI, much of the most important work happens quietly.
Local engagement. Partnerships. Conversations that do not always make headlines.
But together, they form a pattern.
From Estonia to Kenya, from Poland to the Americas, chapters are contributing in ways that strengthen both their communities and the wider network.
This moment in Rome is one of those signals.
And it points clearly in the right direction.
