🌍 Key Upcoming International Days in September 2025
At People to People International (PTPI), we honor global observances that connect with our mission of Advancing Peace Through Understanding. These days remind us of the values we share: peace, justice, education, equality, sustainability, and friendship across borders.
Below is an overview of the key international days in September 2025. We encourage our members and chapters to reflect, share stories, or create local projects inspired by these themes.
🕊️ 5 September — International Day of Charity
A day to recognize humanitarian work and encourage giving back. For PTPI, this reflects our community-driven service and support for vulnerable communities.
📚 8 September — International Literacy Day
Literacy is the foundation of learning and empowerment. PTPI chapters worldwide advance literacy through mentoring, youth education, and access to books.

A call for a safer, more secure world. PTPI amplifies youth voices and global citizenship values to support disarmament, peace, and dialogue.
⚖️ 28 September — International Day for Universal Access to Information
Access to reliable information combats misinformation and builds trust. PTPI is committed to transparency, education, and cross-cultural storytelling.
🧑🦽 30 September — International Translation Day
Languages connect people. This day reflects PTPI’s work in cultural understanding, multilingual storytelling, and bridging differences.
Why This Matters
These international observances aren’t just symbolic — they are reminders of the practical steps we can take locally to strengthen peace globally. Each chapter can choose a date, theme, or activity that resonates with their community and bring PTPI’s mission to life.
