Eesti People to People International (Estonia) has shared a valuable new resource for youth workers, educators, and trainers across our network.

Introducing the HATELESS.eu Toolkit

Young people today are navigating increasingly complex digital environments. Hate speech, racism, and disinformation are not abstract issues. They are part of daily online experience.

The HATELESS.eu Toolkit provides a structured and practical response.

Developed for youth workers and trainers, it combines theory with hands-on activities that build:

  • Critical thinking
  • Media literacy
  • Active participation
  • Inclusive dialogue

What the Toolkit Covers

The toolkit is built around six practical modules:

  1. Understanding Participants & Creating Safe Spaces
Focus on shared European values and inclusive learning environments
  2. Social Media & Algorithms
How platforms influence emotions and can contribute to radicalisation
  3. Research & Exploration
Interviews, photo storytelling, and youth-led media creation
  4. Participatory Action
Supporting young people to raise their voices and engage in change
  5. Digital Storytelling & Video Creation
Practical guidance for creative media projects
  6. Reflection & Evaluation
Tools for structured discussion and deeper learning

Why This Matters

This is not just about identifying harmful content.

It is about equipping young people to:

  • Challenge narratives
  • Build counter-narratives
  • Promote inclusion, dignity, and diversity
