People to People International is pleased to share encouraging news from Gliwice, Poland, where the PTPI Europe Chapter is beginning to reconnect and rebuild.
In a message to PTPI members worldwide, the chapter shared both a renewed sense of purpose and a look back at its history, recalling its roots in 1995, when the foundations of PTPI in Poland were first being laid.
After many years of paused activity, something important happened last Friday. Members met again, shared time together over coffee, and rediscovered the spirit that first brought them into the PTPI family.
That meeting marked more than a reunion. It marked a decision.
The chapter has agreed to begin slowly bringing its activities back to life, with a clear sense that the road ahead will take time, commitment, and steady support. It is a hopeful and meaningful step forward.
One of the chapter’s first ambitious goals is to host a group from the Greater Kansas City chapter in autumn 2027. This idea has been developing for some time, and the Gliwice team is now working closely with Eric from Greater Kansas City People to People Council to help turn it into a memorable and worthwhile exchange.
The chapter has also extended a warm invitation to other PTPI chapters around the world to connect, collaborate, explore homestays, exchange ideas, and build new activity together.
This is exactly the kind of update that reminds us what PTPI is at its best: relationships renewed, local leadership reawakened, and international friendship moving back into action.
We warmly congratulate Marek Sadowski and the team in Gliwice, and we look forward to following their journey.
