We’re honored to spotlight one of PTPI’s most historically significant chapters – PTPI Korea, based in Seoul. As the first-ever international PTPI club, established in 1965, PTPI Korea holds a special place in our global family. In 1974, they hosted PTPI’s first Worldwide Conference, setting the tone for decades of international friendship and cultural exchange.

Now, 60 years later, PTPI Korea continues to be a powerful force for peace, community, and global cooperation. With 34 adult chapters and 37 student chapters nationwide, their impact spans generations. Many of these chapters are located in cities with U.S. military bases, helping to strengthen the U.S.-Korea alliance through volunteer work, cultural outreach, and educational programming.

In 2025, their plans include:

  • A Security Tour and Cultural Exploration for international students from Korean War allied nations (June)
  • The U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary Army Birthday Ball (June 13)
  • Regional chapter sports and hiking events (October)
  • The Annual International Friendship Night (December)

They are also actively exchanging with fellow chapters across Asia, including Mongolia, Taiwan, Japan, Laos, and with PTPI Tainan in Taiwan.

💡 A few amazing things about Seoul, South Korea
Seoul is a vibrant blend of tradition and innovation. As South Korea’s capital and largest city, it’s home to over 10 million people, iconic palaces like Gyeongbokgung, cutting-edge tech hubs, and world-famous cuisine. Known as a global trendsetter in fashion, pop culture (hello, K-pop!), and design, Seoul is also a city that deeply values peace—shaped by its history and driven by a hopeful, resilient spirit.

PTPI Korea’s story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for peace, cultural exchange, and understanding. We are proud to be connected to this legacy and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead.
