Nestled on the stunning Mediterranean island of Sardinia, the PTPI Sassari Chapter is a shining example of global thinking paired with deep local roots. Sardinia, known for its turquoise waters, ancient ruins, and vibrant culture, is a land where tradition meets innovation. It’s not only Italy’s second-largest island but also a place with a unique language, distinct identity, and a long history of community spirit and resilience.

The Sassari Chapter joined the PTPI family after a chance meeting during President Carlo Sanna’s internship in Brussels, and it quickly became a beacon for youth activism, sustainability, and intercultural exchange.

In June 2022, Sassari hosted the PTPI European Conference, drawing attention to the theme “Glocal – Think Global, Act Local.” This powerful idea drives their work—tackling global challenges through local engagement.

With strong partnerships with local universities and deep involvement in Erasmus+ projects, the chapter empowers young people to lead with purpose, advocate for sustainability, and foster meaningful international connections.

From the breathtaking coastline to its warm hospitality and rich heritage, Sardinia offers the perfect backdrop for PTPI’s mission of advancing peace through understanding.
