Founded in 1965, PTPI Korea is proud to be the first overseas chapter of People to People International. With nearly 60 years of active engagement, PTPI Korea has long demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing peace, fostering international understanding, and strengthening global friendships.

With its national headquarters located in Seoul, PTPI Korea currently supports:

🌏 Key Activities:

• First World Conference Host: In 1974, Seoul proudly hosted PTPI’s first global conference.

• Peace and Security Initiatives: Rooted in its history post-Korean War, PTPI Korea is especially dedicated to promoting peace. Chapters in cities like Pyeongtaek, Ulsan, Daegu, and Chuncheon (near U.S. military bases) actively engage in diplomacy and alliance-building efforts.

• Asia-Pacific Leadership: Korea is a central force in leading regional cooperation among PTPI chapters in Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Malaysia, Nepal, and Australia.

• International Delegation Visits & Cultural Exchanges: Korea has a rich tradition of hosting and visiting sister chapters, including recent exchanges with Armenia, Mongolia, Taiwan, and Japan.

📅 Annual Highlights:

• Security Tour & Cultural Exploration (June): For international students from Korean War Allied Nations, supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Includes visits to U.S. military bases, historic landmarks like Gyeongbokgung Palace, and more.

• International Friendship Night (December): Honoring UN Troops and promoting global peace.

• Chapter Exchange Programs: Including art exhibitions, youth engagement, and homestay programs with international partners.

• Participation in the U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday Ball (June 13)
