Located in Skopje (Скопје), the vibrant capital of North Macedonia, this PTPI chapter has been a hub of youth-led action since its founding in 2013. Skopje is a city where history, culture, and resilience meet — from its Ottoman-era Old Bazaar and ancient fortress to modern landmarks and evolving civic energy. It is a city shaped by diversity, and the Skopje Chapter lives this spirit every day.
Entirely operated by young people, the chapter is home to over 60 members dedicated to promoting peace through understanding. Their work focuses on education, human rights, cultural engagement, and community support — aligning perfectly with PTPI’s global mission.
Over the past few years, the chapter has initiated and led impactful projects such as:
-
🎭 Humanitarian Theatre Performances – using art to raise funds and awareness.
-
🤝 Mentorship at the Roma Development Centre – empowering marginalized youth through education and inclusion.
-
🕊️ “Ambassadors of Peace” – a high school education program nurturing global citizenship.
-
🧠 Human Rights Training Courses – developing critical knowledge for advocacy.
-
♿ “Understanding Disability” – promoting empathy and accessibility.
These projects show the power of young people to lead change locally while thinking globally.
Angel Dimitrievski, the chapter president, is not only a tireless youth advocate but also a trusted advisor to the PTPI Global Coordination Centre (GCC). His passion, wisdom, and experience make him an inspiring leader and a true reflection of the chapter’s values.
If you’re seeking to collaborate on youth empowerment, inclusion, or intercultural exchange, the Skopje Chapter is ready to connect.
