About the Chapter
The People to People International Tallinn Chapter plays an active role in strengthening citizen diplomacy across the Baltic and Nordic regions. Rooted in Estonia’s strong tradition of civic engagement, digital innovation, and international cooperation, the chapter focuses on building meaningful people-to-people connections through education, culture, and dialogue.
The Tallinn Chapter has been involved in a range of European cooperation initiatives, including Erasmus+ and Nordplus projects, working with partners across Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and beyond. Its activities reflect PTPI’s core values of peace, pluralism, and mutual understanding, with a particular emphasis on intergenerational learning, digital literacy, cultural heritage, and social inclusion.
Through workshops, project meetings, cultural visits, and international exchanges, the chapter contributes to practical, grassroots diplomacy and long-term partnerships that extend well beyond Estonia’s borders.
Discover Tallinn 🇪🇪
Tallinn is a city where medieval history and digital leadership coexist seamlessly. Its UNESCO-listed Old Town reflects centuries of Hanseatic trade and cultural exchange, while the modern city is globally known as one of the world’s most advanced digital societies.
🏰 Living Heritage
From the cobbled streets of Toompea to historic guild houses and churches, Tallinn offers a deep sense of continuity and identity. Culture, language, and history are carefully preserved while remaining open to international influence and cooperation.
🌲 Nordic Calm, Baltic Energy
Surrounded by forests and the Baltic Sea, Tallinn combines a strong connection to nature with an outward-looking, European mindset. This balance makes it an ideal setting for reflection, dialogue, and international collaboration.
🌍 A Natural Home for Citizen Diplomacy
With its emphasis on openness, education, and cross-border cooperation, Tallinn provides fertile ground for PTPI’s mission. The chapter reflects Estonia’s belief that trust, dialogue, and well-designed cooperation between citizens are essential foundations for peace.
Whether engaging in European projects or welcoming international partners, the Tallinn Chapter contributes quietly but consistently to PTPI’s global network of peace-builders.
