🌍 PTPI April 2025 – Monthly Summary


1. Global Activity & Outreach

  • Continued steady reconnection with former and current chapters globally
  • Engagement with chapter leaders in the US, Europe, and beyond to map activity and member numbers
  • Positive signs of growth and revitalisation, especially among community chapters

2. Youth & Engagement Initiatives

  • Proposal for a monthly student Zoom meet-up at 16:30 CET — aimed at sparking informal discussions
  • Suggested schedule: 3rd Saturday of each month
  • A youth call-to-action will be prepared for May

3. Operational & Tech Updates

  • Raklet portal upgraded to support chapter-level (corporate) memberships with sub-members
  • A new Online Chapter created for At-Large and alumni members
  • Dialogue ongoing with Raklet developers for further improvements — may require co-funding

4. Events & Community Highlights

  • Delaware Chapter (PTPDE) hosted Circles of Understanding on Paraguay (April 17)
  • Next event: Kiribati (May 22) with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Delaware
  • Estonia Chapter (April 30): FSLuxembourg hosted a technical training for the Erasmus+ HATE-LESS project
    • Topics: participatory video methods, storytelling tools, basic video production
    • Results to be published in the project’s methodological guidelines
  • Preparations ongoing for a Poland informal chapter gathering

5. Advocacy & Messaging

  • New public messaging released: “In a world full of noise, we choose connection
  • Encouraging free follows and €10/year memberships via: https://ptpi.network
  • Emphasis on peace through understanding, citizen diplomacy, and local-global synergy
  • Reminder: all Homestay reservations should now be completed via https://ptpi.network/reservation/

6. Internal Coordination & Planning

  • GA Meeting held April 26 — covered communications, chapter visibility, admin roles, and partnerships
  • Legal discussions on branding and trademark rights are active
  • Strategic plan updates in motion, with clear action points assigned

7. New Resource Center Online

The PTPI website now includes a Resource Center where key documents like GA minutes are archived and accessible to members:
